Saudi Sdn Water & Energy Company Implements One of the Kingdom’s Major Strategic Water Transmission Projects

Saudi Sdn Water & Energy Company – a subsidiary of Al Mousa Group – continues its leading role in executing vital projects through its commencement of work on the project to increase the capacity of the “Lifeline” water transmission line from Hali Dam, commissioned by the Water Transmission Company (WTC). This project is considered one of the largest strategic initiatives in the Kingdom’s water sector.

The project extends over a distance exceeding 348 kilometers and aims to enhance water transmission efficiency and ensure sustainability to meet current and future needs. It consists of three integrated implementation packages:

  • Package One: Starts from Hali Dam and includes the construction of a discharge and pumping station with a production capacity of 205,000 cubic meters per day, featuringfive main pumping units eachwithacapacityof2,135 cubic meters per hour.
  • Package Two: Includes establishing a new pumping station in Al Lith area with a production capacity of234,800 cubic meters per day, comprising two reservoirs with a storage capacity of 25,000 cubic meters each and five main pumping units.
  • Package Three: Covers the route from Al Shuaiba to Al Lith station and involves replacing ductile iron pipes with1,400 mm carbon steel pipes, spanning over 81 km, along with comprehensive renewal of all ventilation and drainage stations along the line.
